Sprinkled Brown
The candlelit eyes
sprinkled to me
in a shimmering sea.
A golden leaf flowing
to me from you.
The twisting roots giggling
into the essence of a greater life.
Your hand outreached.
long and stretching.
Coming to tickle me.
To stream across me
as the wind does to the sparkling sand.
I searched for your assurance
as a shy, romantic pleaser.
All the leaf wants is a tree branch.
All the reef wants is a wave of salty water.
All I want is your sprinkled brown eyes on me.
